The Azure Islands get their name not only because they are a group of smaller islands but also because the the blue hue that they all hold. There are only three islands that make up this group, you have the nightsong groove, the Sunken beach and the island with the city.
These islands are arranged in a triangle almost with smaller isles only big enough to hold a few encampments on. To the north you have the island named after the large expanse of trees covering the island. Around the island is a beach making it easy to land a boat on the shore, this island never seems to fall victim to any unusual weather. Small fresh water streams flow through the island giving the plants life. Here only the sand and water hold the blue hue.
The south east island of the Azure islands is known as the sunken beach. It is simply a large sand bank built up in the middle and bares a lush warm emerald pasture. It is never touched by water, even rain, yet seems full of life. The beach itself is hidden by the high tide leaving the pasture as the only visible thing. Even though it is a sandbank the sunken beach can sustain life the water that laps at it's shore is fresh water and the heat never becomes unbearable. Always a warm spring day with a cool breeze and the size of it means this island can allow anything up to 200 beings to live comfortably on it.
The last island the the south western island. Being the largest of the three close islands it holds the great Azure city. The city sits dead center in the middle the island, this island and the smaller ones around it are enough to provide sanctuary for the entire population of Azure islands. This island like the others is stable enough to sustain life.
These islands are surrounded by clear water, the sand beneath the water is like crushed sapphires. at low tide it is possible to wade between the islands if you know where the sandbanks between them are. At high tide it isn't advisable to travel on foot between the islands unless you have power over earth or water.
