They preened under his gaze, thinking themselves lucky to visited by an Angel. Aureliusz did not consider himself so fortunate, having only stepped from Heaven to observe the rising sun, to be accosted by suffering Humans. He was not a messenger, nor had he been assigned to assist any inhabitants of the other islands, and he was far from being an Angel mentioned in legend. Therefore, it was curious how these people were drawn to him - he professed no affection for any creatures other than his brethren. He dared not break whatever illusion they had constructed for themselves, however. He had no desire to spread his disenchantment into the minds of the innocent. Aure had behaved the part of benevolent Angel, gracious, kind, and only barest bit inhuman, stuttering only when he was afraid that he was failing; he was not his master, who might as well be the deity of trickery and despair, he would not crush their fragile dreams.
With a twirl, his wings unfolded, and he pushed himself into the sky, too quickly for the curious humans to observe his departure. His pulled his wings close to himself, spinning through the sky, the wind cutting sharp against his skin. The clouds cooled his body, and he took a moment more than he should have, enjoying the brush of freshness. Around his, the sun was beginning to light the mountain tips, rays of pink light breaking through the morning sky, just bright enough to make his eyes water. He could return to Heaven, if he were to push himself. He couldn't summon up the motivation to do so.
Blinking away the tears which had come with the light, he flitted towards a small, makeshift village. Crystal twinkled around as he came to the ground; a child started as he pulled his wings in close in. Aureliusz put a finger to his lips to kept the child from screaming. Satisfied that the child was not alarmed, he began to walk into the village. He kept a hand on his sword, twitching self-consciously every time someone attempted to avoid or come close to him. He required some sort of inn - if not one of those, perhaps an abandoned house, a hollow tree, anything that was outside of the sun. Aure paused, swallowing the rising swell of anxiety that suddenly surfaced.

"T-take care yourself, children, be good," How pathetic! Why had her master sent her to follow this thing? Angels were boring when they were all goody goody. Oh well she remained unseen, black fur well hidden in the shadows.
Blood red eyes watched him take to the air, wings were pulled close to him as he spun through the sky. Smiling the horse sized wolf pushed her body to it's limits and soon caught up with the Angel. Although he was far above her she knew where he was, the odd look up and that eary feeling she had of him being close told her when to turn, slow or speed up.
She had run through a group of gnolls sitting around a tree, she had seen the walking shellfish and regretted not being able to stop for lunch. She had cleared the gap easily enough with only the slightest help from the moon that was still out, how she loved those days that the moon remained in the sky for the day.
It didn't take long for them to come to a makeshift village. She stopped a little way from the angel the ruins of a house provided adiquate shade for her to sit unseen. The winged rodent put his finger to his lips and the child giggled, that pure sound burned the females sensitive hearing.
Once he walked off Lilly smiled and walked after him, when she reached the child who stared at her she growled and snapped at him. He ran off crying to scared to scream. Turning back to face the direction in which the angel had come Lillith trotted after him, slowing once she came within a short sprint distance from him.
A few humans tried to touch the odd wolf and she allowed only certain ones to touch her, she could sense the darker souls in them. The others only saw her fangs and backed off in fear.
Now the angel paused, why? Did he not know she was following? She hadn't exactly tried to hide, she pushed her body into a sprint and her body sailed through the air, her target wasn't the angels body but his wing.
Landing on her paws she ingored any damge done by the angel and lowered her head snarling. Her orders were to hunt him, but not kill. Maiming was ok, and fun.

Aure first suspected it was the rows of houses, so uneven that it made him want to demolish every one of them, but the unease was stronger, much more instinctual than what would be brought forth from poorly structured homes. The Angel narrowed his senses and stiffened, spinning around as the demon attacked him, his sword brushing against her side. Oh, this was just great. Why was there a demon after him? His mission, oblique as it may be, did not concern the demons. He had no orders to keep them away from humans or any of the less intelligent races that may fall prey to the demon's malignant tricks, nor was he on a crusade, ordered to obliterate the evil creatures. The demon, he had to consider, was working freely, even if he doubted that.
And those clinical, strategical thoughts were just a barrier to keep him from thinking about the blood, the barest amount leaking from the mark he had made on her, because if he did become fixated on it, he wasn't sure that he could keep himself attacking the creature now, without concern for himself.
Aure pulled his wings close to himself; they could be used as shield, if he happened to be accosted by several combatants, but he preferred them to remain uninjured. It was, after all, very much easier to return to Heaven when not dripping blood. The Angel tightened his grip around his sword, his nails glinting in the rising light.
"What have I done to be assailed by one of your ilk?" His voice was not stricken with anxiety, for which he was grateful, instead holding a curious, dead-pan tone. Innocent sounding, in a way, as was typical for Aure - unless, of course, his voice was sarcastic and mocking, and in little way pure. A vine curled up behind him, sharp and dark, ready for use; Aure searched for another thing to say. It was fruitless; a very futile search in the first place, as he was unlikely to say anything that would persuade the demon from it's orders. Frankly, he doubted that he was able to say something that would not be mocked by the demon; anything that came to mind was either naive, or a phrase which he expected one of his more pure brethren would spout, and he was not his master - he could not charm the creature, he was not a manipulator. He was a warrior, impulsive and impatient, but he would wait for the being to make another move.

How has this thing remained alive for so long?! Her only thought as she attacked the Angel, a smooth landing, with only the slightest pain along her side made the horse sized wolf bare her white teeth in a smile. Spitting feathers to the ground she was suprised he had turned fast enough to avoid a broken wing.
Still she ingored the blood that her pure black fur hid very well, of course some of it did drip to the floor and her ears picked up every droplet as it hit the ground. Her ears twitched and she growled again, his wings were pulled close to his back. Lilith had lost her change to ground the angel without letting herself be injured majorly.
"Your an Angel... do i need any other reason?"
His voice made her ears burn, how she hated the heavenly Angels. Lilly saw the angel tighten his grip on his sword and saw the glint come from the blade and his nails. Seeing the vine appear behind the angel Lilly took a step forward, keeping her eyes on the angel and the vine.
"What are you waiting for?"
Her voice was a deep rumble, close to a growl. Lilly, unlike Shas, was no long pure Werewolf, she was a demon with a true form of a horse sized wolf. This meant that she could form human words as easily as any demon could. Of course this angel wouldn't know bshe was once a pureblood Werewolf.

He thought he might chuckle, but held in his amusement for the sake of not infuriating the creature - a female, he thought - further. Instead, he put his concentration into the ground around her, gently persuading the plants to grow and lash out at her, in a process that only took seconds, mind-racing to find other options of hindering her. He supposed he could reply to the Demon now, although it was not required of him.
"Honestly? You're relying on that excuse?" His voice turned mocking, veering towards sarcastic; the host did not look fondly upon him doing this, but he would dare-say that the demon would not hurry to share his activities with his brethren. He should not be mocking her in the first place, however, what she had said could not go without some derision. It was both common and annoying; surely, demons could fabricate some other reason than race to create a skirmish. Was a little creativity too much to ask for? It was no wonder his brethren looked down upon Demons; though, and this thought would not be looked very kindly upon as well, the majority of the Angels, particularly the foot soldiers, lacked even the smallest bit of original thought. He, likely, did not have the right to judge.
He was tempted to agitate her more when she spoke again, but decided against it. His chest was threateningly tight; he was not willing to tempt fate, wherever that deity may be, by attempting speak, when surrounded by so many souls, all watching, all waiting. The smarter humans hide themselves inside their messy homes, putting the children in the basement; the others, apparently, decided they wanted to risk their lives.

Her legs became trapped by the plants, of course she didn't notice their grip until she took a step forward and they became tight around her legs. His words made her laugh.
"I rely on nothing feather brain."
His voice annoied her, of course it didn't show in her own voice. The plants snapped suddenly, whithered, drained of their life force. Lilith's side was healed completely but unseened even to those stand to her side. Stupid humans, some here though weren't just humans, although those that weren't human were hiding or at what they considered a safe distance from the pair.
A small child stepped beside Lillith. Smiling she lowered her head and felt the warm touch of the child Malice. The boy was fully gown but to the morons he would appear to be a unaging boy. His touch made Lilith shiver and her paws grew warm. He had boosted her power of fire, meaning she only had to work on keeping the flames burning.
Lifting her head Lilly smiled again and stepped forward. The Malice tried to follow her and she stopped and nudged him away from her. She would have words with her master about this boy. Maybe the pet would have a playmate? Laughing suddenly she growled and winked at the angel before leaping at him with all her force.
She aimed to just pin the angel to the ground, by whatever she could. Although she still wanted to take out his wings. Angels were easier to catch when they couldn't fly, and all angels were stumped on how to fight without their wings. Even this one used them subconsously.

Look children, look at the window; do you see that Angel, do you see him talking? Do you see him digging his own grave? Aure swallowed. This was inane. He should leave - he should have flown back to Heaven when he had a chance. It was too late now - the sun was bright, even in this village. It would be unbearable if he were to take flight. This was all stupid; he had even seen that in foresight. Was his deathwish that strong, that he would deliberately place himself into situations in which extricating himself would prove to be of some effort? In a somewhat fortunate, but mostly painful and unfortunate, maneuver, the wolf Demon struck. Her paws were planted on his chest, pressing him to the ground. It took a moment for him notice, he was startled, but her paws were warm, hot, burning.
Aureliusz breath caught in his throat, and when it did come again, it was quick and panicked. His pupils were wide, ragged in the light of the day, expression fearful, but not of the demon. It took him a moment for him to regain his senses, to stop from staring at the wolf with unbidden dread. It took him a moment to remember that this was not Galen - that this was not his Master - that this creature could not harm him as much as his master, that she knew naught of his fears, that she was not him. Aure kept his breath unsteady as a plan of escape, a plan of action flitted into his mind.
Without any indication, no tensing of muscles or a glance to the side, he shoved his sword quickly, hopefully, into her side. The thorn-ed vine made to push her off at roughly the same time; Aure rose to his feet, moving away from the Demon, his sword in his hand. He dare not look at it; if it was covered blood, he wasn't sure he could look away from it.

She had heard his words and seen the people looking out their windows at the pair, it made her smile as the cries of babies echoed through the village. Concerned mother tried to hush the children and shepard them back out of sight. Some would think the realms were going to war others would just assume that the pair hated each other on a personal note.
She had him pinned to the floor, her front paws placed almost gracefully on his chest, because of their size she had to place them so her legs were almost crossed. Her back paws on the ground with her muzzle placed so her cold wet nose was inches from the angels own.
His breathing was quick and panicked enough to make her body rise and fall, it made her smile he feared her because of something she had done. His pupils were wide now, before when he had looked upon her they were fine. Only once he realised she was pinning him. No other angel held this reaction, they all fought to get her huge bulk off of them.
She felt his breath become a little steadier but it was forced to stay unsteady, she knew the slight difference well. She kne the average anatomy od demons & humans, and seeing as most races were similar this angel was faking his breathing.
Suddenly a peircing pain, almost burning revealed itself in her side, and she knew what had made the angel so scared, it was her paws, and they were hot. She only knew this because her blood was running hot and now it was flowing down her side and the sword.
Growling she stood, 'Why am i on the floor?' Seeing the Angel stand Lilith pulled herself to her feet and shook herself, her blood splattering the floor and the closer building.

Aureliusz shook the blood from the blade as the creature rose from where she had lain; he put the weapon in his opposite hand. His options, regarding this fight, were few; there remained, in reserve, the option of departing, but as the sky grew lighter, it became less feasible. His ability of light, uncontrolled as it was, would not be helpful - if he were able to refract light, perhaps, but as he was not, the idea had little merit. He had more control over nature; however, his concentration was shot. He would more likely harm himself than the female - which left the final option (of those that he could create); persuade the demon to stop and let them both depart.
Aureliusz forced his posture to loosen, to remove the adversarial signs from the way he behaved; he doubted that he was successful. He did not drop his weapon, for that would be pure folly, but held it by his side, not towards the she-wolf. In case his words did not have the effect that he wished, which was a far more likely possibility than he preferred to calculate, he summoned up his magic in preparation for an attack.
"Please, can you leave me be? Galen - my master - would not be pleased if I were to be hurt further," He said, with the aim to imply that it would be beneficial for both parties to cease their fighting. By indicating that his master would not be delighted if he came to be harmed, by means other than the deity's own, he hoped that the demon would reconsider the situation. It was a ploy, designed to play on the demon's egoism and care for it's own health. He did not have high hopes for it working in the manner he desired.

Red eyes that often had her mistaken for a male Haunt watched her blood drip to the floor, she body trembled for many reasons. Anger, pain, tiredness and the adrenaline running through her body. She took a step forward and tilted her head to the side as the angel swapped his sword to his other hand.
Even though the light had become stronger her fur and eyes hadn't become brighter, if anything the shadows seemed like nothing compared to Lilith's fur. She watched him from her nice and blood soaked patch of ground.
The angel changed his posture, almost as if relaxing due to surrender, Lilith lifted her head in surprise and her body stopped trembling. She noted how his sword was now placed and her ears pricked forward, awaiting his words. She wanted to hear what he had to say.
His words made her raise her head even more and her tail to swing lazily. Galen Lilith lowered her head like a sorry puppy would and stepped forward.
"Aureliusz?"
Lilith paused and waited his reply before she would walk up to him and lick his cheek and nuzzle the angel. When it came to Galen or even Zane Lilith lost all of her confidence, even more so when she was with someone liked by them more than herself.

The demon then, stepped forward with, and it took a moment for him to recognize it on another, contrition. It was an odd impact for his words to have upon her - he was of no importance in Hell or of particular power in heaven, which left him confused as to why she would show remorse towards him. Aureliusz...
"Yes,I am," The Angel said, affirming his identity, though he was at a loss as how the demon knew - Galen. If he were given to swearing, he would have done so now, at Galen, with no amount of restraint what-so-ever and sparing no cruelty. As he was not, he merely grit his teeth and accepted this turn of events with resignation. His master was not above bringing demons into his employ, but it was unusual that he would not have been told - ha. As though his master had been given to sharing details, to him, especially.
He nearly stepped back as the demon stepped towards him, wary of ill intentions, but forced himself to stand still. His grip tightened on his sword; if he desired, he could stab her now, while she was still close, though he was not given to that type of backstabbing behavior. The wolf licked his cheek, then showed a bit more affection. Aureliusz's grip on the sword loosened, nearly letting it fall to the ground.
"I am afraid that I do not know your name, Miss..?"

Lilly only knew Aureliusz because both Galen and Zane and forced her to learn it, although it was more Zane that made her learn the angels name because she was of a much lower rank than him. At least in Zane's eyes, if not Galen's.
When he confirmed that he was Aure Lilith then stepped forward and behaved like a well trained puppy. She had never been told what the angel looked liked, only that he was her superior. She felt him tense and nearly step back and nearly whimpered.
His voice no longer burned her ears and she gently head butted his free hand, much like a dog would seeking attention. A soft rumble, almost a purr was more felt by Lilith than heard. She hoped Aureliusz wouldn't take to sound as threatening.
"Lilith, Zane's pet and to Galen... Well I'm not sure what i am to him."
Lilith spoke softly and looked Aure in the eyes. She wondered what the angel would do now. What would she do now? Looking you to the sky Lilly sighed. She didn't know how Aure would react to her words.
Would Galen or Zane do anything?
Maybe this is why Zane sent her after Aure.
What would Zane have done if i killed him?

The texture was harsher than it appeared, but he could expect little else; she was a demon and they were seldom pleasant in any fashion. She made a small noise before speaking, one that he was unable to categorize, but did not believe to be threatening. He tilted his head, as she explained that she was unsure of her position in relation to Galen. Aureliusz did not need to ponder his answer to her statement.
"A pawn. Servants, loyalty bound and without volition, are little more to him than a word." The Angel replied; his tone was quiet but sure. He did not believe that his master cared for him, that he would care for this one was unlikely. His hand, removed from the demon, ran through his hair, the golden strands falling heavily on his shoulders. The sun was rising, as was it's wont, and shelter would have to be taken soon.
"I require a room, elsewhere. If you do not wish to come with me, then I will be saying my farewell."
