Silver forest, Ruled solely by a King, with a beautiful Lady taking control of the smaller things. Since the Queen and Lord died the King and lady had decided the was 'safer' to live in the same place. This lead to rumors of a plot between the two, to kill their spouses, this rumor only one of many that became more believable when the Lady announced she was pregnant.
The killing had started little over a month ago, the Lady was due to give birth in 5 months. Her husband was barren, so who's child was it? Well the people had every answer possible, and they refused to any of the Kings whims unless it benefited them.
Well now the people of Silver forest no longer have to listen to the words of 'corrupt' rulers.
The king was found dead, but his body dismembered. His torso (both halves), nailed upside down above his throne, with his jointed arms and legs nailed as if his torso were the right way up. Although his body was nailed above the throne it looked as if he had been sewn back together, a thick black cord joining his body... He wasn't noticed until late morning, his body having been nailed up since midnight.
---------------
It was morning again, an all too nice day for what had occurred the night previous, too nice for what happened a month ago. The breeze was subtle, wafting through the silver, shimmering forest, the sun rising early. The Lady was not to be found in her room, as her maid discovered when she came to open the curtains, but this was not of suspect. The Lady, after the death of the King, was uncomfortable sleeping for long hours, confiding to her friends (and spread by rumors) that she feared that she would be killed in her sleep.
The Lady was nowhere to found in the rest of the castle. The staff knew why, they all knew why, but hoped dearly that they were wrong, that the Lady was merely sitting in the throne room for hours, relaxing. It was a desperate hope.
The maid, a curious young thing, brave but foolish, took it upon herself to open the doors. She stared at the scene in front of her for a moment, words slipping numbly out of her mouth - Ah, that's what you've been doin', m'lady - before screaming. The head servants, accompanied by a scarce few visiting guests ran to her call; the majority excused themselves a moment after entering the room.
The woman's body appeared whole from the front - bloated, but that could be excused as a result of her pregnancy; she appeared to be sitting, stiffly and gazing straightforward. Almost normal, if one thought sitting without movement was normal, and didn't look below her; blood pooled underneath her and around her feet. When they were standing closer - and very few did this - they could see her hands, head, and feet were nailed into place, presumably done post-mortem.
An hour later, a message was sent out to the Forest's citizens and visitors, requesting that anyone, anyone at all, who could solve the murder was welcome to the castle and a reward.

Those pathetic pair, they thought themselves rulers but they were just weaklings trying to rule the people, treat them as slaves.
Laughter.
Not even doing a good job, Lilith knew what being a pet to a god and a king of hell, she didn't consider herself a slave. Pets had rights and had a say, also their Master's cared for pets, the pets had some control over their Masters.... or may it was just Lilith.
Smiling she remembered the Kings face when she had entered the throne room and 'suggested' his action for that night. Oh and the Asrai, now she was an awesome woman.
Smiling Lilith hummed as she walked to wards the small Castle, the villagers and residents of Silver Forest had heard about this death, some where coming to claim the reward others just to try and see or hear what happened.
Lilith was there, she knew what happened and yet here she was under order yet again to be at this place!
Although this time she was in one of her dresses again. For some reason her Master has demanded her were this dress, she didn't question just acted.
Shaking her head she pulled the black velvet cloak tighter around her shoulders and carried on walking with the crowd, it was taking all of her control not to snap at the annoying brat in front of her.

Danella looked around from beneath the hood of her cloak, careful not to show her face. Her wanted level was on the rise and the last thing she needed was to get arrested. Not that they could really do anything, with no rulers to prosecute her at the moment. The best they could so was lock her into prison until a trial. Unless it was decided to execute her as a unanimous decision by the entire town...which was quite possible in the current climate.
She was happy to kill that sack of blubber that was known as their king. A sad, sorry little creature of a man that took advantage of the women of this island. It made her sick just thinking about the way he had looked at her, gazing at as though she was a prize to be won, undressing her with his eyes, taking her hand in one of his ham like ones while his other rested on her rear. It took everything in her power not to slit his thought there. She waited for him to sit in his throne before she killed him. She shivered, remembering with both pleasure and disgust.
But she had no hand killing the woman, other than watching from the sidelines. Her master had told them to kill the woman and king...but he did not say who to do which. Her master, the one she ran from so many years ago, controlled her once again. She didn't like it, but what else could she do? She had no one, no where to go.
Looking around, she saw her current partner, Lilith, fuming irritation at the brat in front of them. It was annoying her as well but she was used to annoying.
"Keep your temper," she muttered softly. "We do not wish t draw attention to ourselves do we?"

His voice was slightly hoarse from talking for so long, but he would grin and bear it for now; even if he hadn't been fond of the King and Queen, he still had a duty to perform. At the moment, he was speaking to crowd of mixed races. Some were looking more shifty than others; two girls, dressed nicely, but not for battle, made his skin crawl. He couldn't place a reason, and decided to ignore it.
" - although I cannot share the details of the lady's death now, if you go to the castle and have good c-credentials, then the mortician will share them with you there. Anyone who has details, anyone who knows anything at all about our lady's..death, please talk to Sir Blanekard; if your information is helpful, you'll be greatly rewarded. Anyone who is here to mourn her passing is welcome to attend the funeral tomorrow and stay either at the castle or in one of our inns."
